Origins of the Nauruan People

Hey readers!
Sorry i'm late on the post (busy week) but, this weeks post is all about the origins of the Nauruan people. Micronesians who are the native people that were originally here and polynesians came to the island over three thousand years ago coming by boat from surrounding islands from seafaring or shipwrecked, either or.  There were originally twelve clans that made up the Nauruan nation, which is represented on their flag today. Not much is known about their history written down, but is spread through word of mouth. They lived majority on sea food, so fishing was an ideal skill to have on this small 21 kilometer island. Come back next week to read about the beautiful island the Nauruan people live on!
